Tommorow is the Big Day! 3G Apple iPhones For Everyone
Well, 3G iPhones anyone who can afford one.
Surprisingly, according to Mac Daily News and O’Grady’s PowerPage among others, Canadians are going to be getting the deal they were looking for with a a promotional 6GB data plan for the iPhone at a bargain-basement of C$30 from Rogers. Not bad. That’s cheaper than we’re getting here in the States.
iPhone Atlas breaks it down country-by-country for the roll-out of the new 3G iPhone tomorrow. Here at MyNewIphoneWorld.com, we have no plans to be first in line, but eagerly anticipate any feedback from those that do.
Meanwhile, for us first generation types who are about to have an out-of-date iPhone unless we find the funds, we can look forward to the much-anticipated iPhone 2.0 firmware that loops in all the third-party developers. It will be interesting to see what develops in the near term. Flash-compatibility and a video camera top the list here. It doesn’t look like either will occur in this upgrade to the firmware, though.
