How Do I Turn My iPhone Off and On?
When I first purchased an Apple iPhone, I didn’t know (or didn’t care to know) how to turn off my new toy. After all, I was entranced by the glassy, jewel of a phone. Why would I need to turn it off? But, I came close to running down my battery a couple of times so I had to power off. For experts, this is super easy, for anyone who has just purchased the new iPhone, here’s how you do it..
First, view the button on the top of your Iphone:
Next, depress the button and hold for about three seconds or until the screen changes:
Finally, your screen now says “Slide to power off.” Go ahead and swipe across to turn it off.
It won’t ring or vibrate again until you power on (which is done by pressing and holding the button for 3-5 seconds). All calls go to iPhone’s voicemail and texts are received once you turn it on.
